Speaker Line
Operator "911, what's your emergency?"
Caller "There was an incident in my factory. One of my employees got stabbed by sharp tool."

Plot 1[]

(This call has only one possible plot-line.)

Summary[]

The caller is the owner of a factory, who reports that one of his employees had a freak accident: they stabbed themselves with a knife while falling off a ladder.

Suspecting some sort of foul play, the operator decides to send police along with an ambulance. When the factory owner hears this, he begins to beg that no police be sent to his factory. The operator is puzzled, to which the factory owner responds by hinting at the possibility of a bribe if the operator does as he asks. When the operator refuses, the caller makes the bribe explicit, first offering $5,000 and then $7,000.

The operator continues to refuse the offers, and sends the police anyway. While medics treat the injured worker, the factory owner is arrested and fined a hefty sum for attempted bribery.

  • Upon arrival, units find the injured worker, who is treated and taken to hospital.
  • If the bribe was accepted, the factory owner will not be present; only medics are required.
  • If the bribe was not accepted, there will be at least one version of the Factory Owner (or possibly two!) who must be fined by police officers. However, despite one version of the Factory Owner being flagged for arrest, he will actually only be fined as well; there is no need to arrest him or take him to jail.
  • Note that the second Factory Owner will likely have a completely different face from the first, and may actually be a woman, despite both versions being marked as the "caller". Logically, both version should not appear at the same time in the first place, but the script does not ensure that only one is ever present. This allows you to make a total of $3,000 for this call rather than the intended $2,000.

Telling the caller I'LL SEND AN AMBULANCE or I'LL SEND AMBULANCE will both end the call prematurely.

I'LL SEND AMBULANCE will additionally hurt your Reputation quite severely.

Selecting OK, NO POLICE will drop both the Reputation Award and the Ignore Reputation Penalty by -100 points, practically ensuring that you will always fail the duty.
